Ministry of Agriculture Jihad and KISH EXPO Take Joint Steps to Showcase Investment Opportunities in Iran’s Agriculture and Food Industries
In a move to strengthen investment, expand economic cooperation, and showcase the strategic potential of Iran’s agricultural sector and related industries to domestic and international investors, a specialized meeting was held to explore opportunities for cooperation and participation in KISH EXPO (Iran’s Investment Expo), hosted by the Deputy for Planning and Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad
The meeting was held on Sunday, October 11, 2026 (19 Mehr 1405), at the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad’s Tose’e Hall, chaired by Dr. Alireza Kardlou, Director General of the Ministry’s Office of Economic Affairs. It was attended by representatives of the Ministry’s specialized departments, the Iran Chamber of Cooperatives, the private sector, and relevant professional associations
During the meeting, Dr. Mohammad Reza Ghaderi, Executive Secretary of KISH EXPO, outlined the event’s objectives, international approach, and capabilities. He also presented opportunities for participation and investment attraction in agriculture, food processing and related industries, livestock and poultry, fisheries, modern agricultural technologies, production value chains, and the development of agricultural exports
He also highlighted KISH EXPO’s role as a platform for presenting the country’s investment projects, establishing direct connections between project owners and investors, and expanding economic engagement with international trade and investment delegations
The meeting continued with comments and questions from representatives of the participating organizations and associations. The Executive Secretary of KISH EXPO addressed their inquiries regarding participation procedures, project presentation, and opportunities for cooperation at the event
In conclusion, it was agreed that, under the guidance and coordination of the Deputy for Planning and Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad, the Ministry’s specialized departments, the Iran Chamber of Cooperatives, and relevant organizations would pursue the necessary measures to identify and present priority investment opportunities and projects in the agricultural sector and related industries, while also facilitating the effective participation of stakeholders from these sectors in KISH EXPO
The meeting represents a step toward strengthening the link between Iran’s agricultural production and economic capacities and opportunities for investment attraction and international economic cooperation within the framework of KISH EXPO
